Not everything parallelizes. Some features have sequential dependencies. While I could force parallelism in some features with worktrees and then try and merge things, it creates merge conflicts and can lead to confusion which leads to more work and bad merges. Backpressure is strict by default. When a buffer is full, writes reject rather than silently accumulating. You can configure alternative policies – block until space is available, drop oldest, drop newest – but you have to choose explicitly. No more silent memory growth.
